Ocean Beach
San Francisco, California
A long, exposed beach break on San Francisco’s western edge. On good days it offers powerful, hollow waves, but strong currents and a tough paddle-out make it challenging. It is not a beginner spot. Learners usually head to gentler beaches farther south.
