Montauk
New York
WBS Home Coast
At the eastern tip of Long Island, Montauk has rock-bottom breaks like Ditch Plains, known for mellow waves that suit longboarders, plus more serious spots along the point. It is one of the best-known surf areas in the Northeast. Booties help on the rocks, and a good wetsuit is a must most of the year.
