Jaws (Pe'ahi)
Maui, Hawaii
Pe’ahi, better known as Jaws, is one of the world’s most famous big-wave spots. The modern tow-surfing era took off here in the 1990s, and it is now surfed both by tow and by paddling. It only breaks on big winter swells and is strictly for elite big-wave surfers.
